just thinkin'...

i dunno'. i might stop blogging. i think there's like 5 people that read this & comment that i talk to on a regular basis. and those who don't get to see e much, i may just send out e-mails instead...i do much better writing in my personal journal, thoughts that the public really shouldn't care about i guess...

the most successful blogs i read are about food or people who are extremely opinionated, and i'm not in most areas. plus lately, my mind hasn't had enough energy to write...or knit...or read...i'm just trying to make it by while i have to work & have a family & feel sick all at once. and when we have #2, it would be unjustifiable of my time to blog as much as i would like...

so, i bid you adieu, please feel free to find me on facebook or email me to keep in touch. :)

terrible blog material: this is long.

sorry it's been a while since i've written, it's been a long few weeks! my work schedule is all wonky right now and every second i have off is repairing in rest & making up time w/ family. and...trying to feel ok since i am pregnant again. yes. yes i am. found out a few weeks ago, i am 7 1/2 weeks right now, still early, but still sick as ever. today i had to go to whole foods first thing 'cause we were all out of groceries and today was the first time ever i have not wanted to go to whole foods. i felt sooooo tired & nauseated, i just grabbed what i needed & got the heck out, came home & unloaded and went back to bed.

so anyhoo, i am due nov. 7th. the news was definitely a shocker at first, and still kind of is since we had just gotten to normalcy w/ baby e, we were beginning to truly enjoy the full happy personality of our son. but God has bigger plans in mind obviously, so we are beginning to have open arms and embrace this. we have walled in the office in our house to make a 3rd bedroom and are getting excited about e having a sibling to play with.

we also have been having lots of random projects done on our house like an electrician here to clean up all the old hanging wires in the garage so we can drywall it in, as well as having a few trees chopped down in the back yard. and that is SO exciting because now, the sun shines in (we have a jungle back there...) on half the yard so we can grow grass & i'll feel better about playing w/ e back there! i am so excited for spring and summer & bbq's and...a yard with grass, my pot grown veggies & my blueberry bush. it'll be so dreamy...i just hope i feel ok...i'll post pics once it looks pretty.

e in a dream like state amongst the bananas. his favorite. 'nanas'.

we spent the afternoon in lawrence yesterday and ate dinner at local burger...
mmmm that place rocks. especially their sweet potato fries and strawberry soy shake...mmmm...o, and of course e's favorite new action figures - yo gabba gabba, his favorite show. grammy took him toy shopping the other day, and this is the only thing he picked out. how cute. out of any action figure/characture he could choose, i am proud of him for this because every other figure is extremely obnoxious. (thanks for the toys grammy!)

chillin' at coffee time after dinner

the moon.

i had to work today (yes, today and not ToNiGhT like normal!). it was 6 a.m. & as i was going 30 minutes the opposite way FrOm work to take e to be-pa & me-ma's before work, the sky was black, the air was crisp, and the moon was a biiiig beautiful golden piece of work. baby e seemed to notice too, the whole drive across town he pointed and looked wide eyed-ly & repeatedly said "moon!" he loves the moon.

he's got this miniature set of books in a box, and one of them has a picture of a house & a moon. and it's his favorite book. he walks around with it all the time and let's us know he's proud to know "home" and "moon". cute.

this week in summary

last weekend e & i went to branson w/ my parents, sister in law & nephews. b & my brother both had work stuff so they unfortunately were unable to go. it was a nice relaxing trip, we went swimming & shopping & to a ventriloquist & magic show, hung around the house a lot because it snowed pretty much the whole weekend. it was beautiful snow, probably will be the last of the season with how warm & beautiful it is out now! anyhoo, this is lazy a.m. wrestling on the bed time w/ 'me-ma' and e & his cousin.

the cousins in the back of the van on the way down to branson. they had lots of fun together back there! i think e had the most fun, he didn't sleep the whole way there and made lots of happy loud noises.

e's buddy came over wednesday for the afternoon. they had lots of fun together and took a good nap. e seemed to have a lot of problems with sharing his toys and throwing fits and being really clingy that day and thursday i figured out why - he was not feeling good, the stomach bug that had been luring came to surface on thursday. first one he's really had. poor little guy! he seems better today but i don't think it'll be completely gone for another day or so. one of his cousins had that bug in branson while the other one got sick with it when we got back, it took a few days for e's system to really catch on to it.

of all the places i've been...

if i could blend the city life of Chicago with some slow relaxed elements of the south mixed with the mountains of Colorado and the family of here, i would be in heaven.

then of course, I'm sure once i actually get to Vancouver or Maine or Italy or Iceland, i might change my mind.

e time!

so, over the past 24 hours baby e has definitely proven that his vocab will be quickly expanding from here on out. while other friends kids the same age as e started saying some of these words a while ago, e was held back by pain from being sick all the time, but since those tubes have been put in, he has grown so much & it is showing! so anyway, over the past 24 hours alone, he has begun to say "more", "nana" (banana), "high chair", and "hi dadda". i'm just so wowed i don't know what to do but cry it's so amazing watching the changes! lots of hooray's and clapping has been made by b & i in the past day...

it's like, life w/ e has been boom boom boom with colickey symptoms up until 4-5 months old...then the teething started...then the ear infections started...and now i'm like, i can toooootally take on any of his toddler tantrums because they aren't nearly as bad as anything experienced with him before now, because atleast now he's happy between the sparse tantrums and he's growing and i feel like he's really experiencing the full joy of life for almost the first time. aaaaand...i don't feel overly stressed out and down as a mom. i have REALLY been enjoying my duty as a mom over the past few months and especially this last month & i'm having so much fun w/ my family, i am truly a blessed blessed lady. :)

e loves pretend cooking while i'm cooking. this day he was 'roasting' some gerber graduates :)

playing with little 'pom poms' to keep little fingers busy! this shall be our new restaurant activity...

aaaaaahhhh...

so, i had this sinus infection that wouldn't go away for a few weeks, so last week i went and got antibiotics. azithromycin. aka "z-pack". it tore me up. i felt like i was getting the stomach flu, and i dropped a few lbs's...so i only took 3 of the 5 prescription pills...

anyhoo, b & i had a most relaxing weekend, our parents were so awesome to split baby duties friday night & saturday night, so b&i did things like went to eat at the blue stem (which i would never recommend to those of you who desire to spend less than the cost of a plane ticket on your dinner...), sleep lots, sleep more, read at coffee shops, miss baby e, eat long breakfasts and read the paper, go antiquing, go to a movie (coraline-it was so awesome!!!) and shop. and miss baby e some more. but this all said, fighting a sinus infection all weekend still, and lastnight it disappeared! the headaches stopped, the terrible sleeping because i'm waking myself up snoring stopped...i really believe the rest helped, i feel like a new lady today after such a great weekend. :)

hi, my name is baby e and not only do i like to smash crackers on my forehead and laugh and laugh, but i also like to smash every single one up into my lunch because it's fun and a big mess for mama to clean up!
